We go through life resisting it. Some of us welcome it. Seasons of change are everywhere all the time chasing us down with their vicious threats. But I like to say change chases us down like a fresh rain coming in from the prairie. I need it. I crave it. Well, maybe not crave, but I do realize it’s value. When I get into a season of my life that needs a swift kick in the rear, I seek change. But when my season has become as stale as my dinner roll left on the table, I welcome change, however, it usually blindsides me. I’m not expecting it. Or maybe change came in a form foreign to me.
Sometimes I just rearrange the furniture. ”That sofa might just need to sit in the middle of this room.” Sometime I rearrange my life: “I’ll get a job, I’ll take on more volunteering, I’ll buy new clothes, I will learn a new hobby.” When we are in the right spot, our hearts overflow, we are energized. When we are ready for change, doors will close and plans will change. We will start to see things with a new perspective. A fresh set of eyes are with us now. Remember , when one door closes, another door opens. Pay attention to the rhythm of your life. Look forward to the upcoming season. Be confident in your expectations.
