Michelle is a bright young woman that doesn’t give up, she keeps her faith close to her heart and lives her life in a most humble and beautiful way. Michelle is true to herself and that energy is contagious! She is an inspiration!
What inspires you? Connecting with and meeting new people. I am inspired to keep trying and experiencing new things in life so that I can share those experiences with others. I love being able to use my words and thoughts to empower others to keep moving forward in life.
Your favorite virtue? Meekness….Meekness is not weakness. Being meek in my mind means that in difficult situations reacting not to what others have done TO you but considering instead what God has done FOR you.
Happiness is…? not dictated by circumstances but rather energy that comes from God.
What are you most excited about in your new role as DYW for SC? I am excited that the journey with the program is really just getting started! In the next 11 months, I will have the privilege of meeting remarkable young women and have the opportunity to share passions, dreams with 50 new friends.
What would you like to share with others? I want to encourage people to be tenacious. Stay the course, even when times are tough and find comfort in the stability of God’s love.
What is Distinguished Young Woman program about? First and foremost, DYW is an educational program to jump start you on your journey to becoming your best self.
