Just got back from an amazing trip to Europe. I was very blessed to visit 3 special places: Oslo, Norway, Rome, Italy, and Zurich, Switzerland. I received many gifts during my time abroad. Some of them were:
Time with my family (priceless)
Another opportunity to witness my son’s dreams coming true (no greater privilege as a mom)
Smiles and laughter (someone was always willing to point us in the right direction on the street or in a train station. Language was never a problem…. smiles and laughter became our universal language)
True, loving kindness of friends (from a beautiful place to stay in Rome, to lovely dinners in Zurich, to a magical dinner and evening in Montreux. We were humbled by our friends willingness to share their lives and their blessings with us)
And finally, the gift of learning (more about the places we visited, the countries, their cultures, and history.
No matter where you travel this summer: close to home or far and wide…be open to all the gifts that travel can bring into your life, just keep your heart open to see them and to receive them.
