Unnata Yoga (“ooo-NOT-ah” — Unnata) that is. A friend is encouraging me to try this in a class next week. Maybe you can too! I’ll let you know how it is….here’s a little info on Unnata Aerial Yoga.
According to aerialyoga.com, Unnata is the Sanskrit word for “elevated,” meaning both elevated in spirit and physically elevated. Unnata Aerial Yoga postures encourage a better understanding of positioning and purpose of advanced and traditional Yoga postures.
The practice of Yoga is intended to calm the nervous system through stretches, deep breathing, and actively letting go of stressful thoughts and instead give space to what is instead of seeing the world through fear, anger, sadness or desires that can be distracting.
