I am blessed with a husband and son who love sports. When my son was younger he played baseball. Baseball, as with most sports, has unique words and phrases that are part of the game. One phrase, that’s used in baseball is, “It’s in his wheelhouse”. It is used to describe the “perfect spot” for a batter to connect and make contact with the ball. In his wheelhouse, a batter is “one with the ball”. It is the spot where everything comes together. What does your wheelhouse look like? What do you do that helps you make contact with yourself? Is it when you exercise, spend time with your family and friends, cook, express yourself through the arts, run, take a walk, or take time to be silent with yourself? I encourage you to “find your wheelhouse”, the place where you can be your truest self.
